Hockridge Trade School Attendance Policy
Students enrolled in a Hockridge Trade School LTD. training program are expected to attend all scheduled classes, practical training sessions, safety certifications, and evaluations. Our programs are intensive, hands-on, and designed to prepare students for employment in the trades industry. Missing training time can significantly impact your ability to successfully complete the program and gain the skills required for employment.
Students who miss training days may still receive certification for completed theory components; however, they may not be eligible to receive their full program certificate if required practical training hours and competencies have not been achieved.
If you have extenuating circumstances that may affect your attendance, you are required to notify the Administration Office and Lead Instructor as soon as possible. Supporting documentation may be requested.
Attendance reports may be provided to funding agencies, sponsors, employers, or community partners upon request or as required under funding agreements. Midterm and final attendance reports may also be issued where applicable.
Students are responsible for arriving on time each day and remaining for the entire scheduled training period. If you have a medical appointment or other unavoidable commitment, arrangements must be made in advance with the Lead Instructor whenever possible.
Successful completion of the program requires a commitment to the full training schedule. Hockridge Trade School LTD. strives to prepare students for real-world employment expectations, and therefore maintains attendance standards similar to those found in the construction, transportation, and heavy equipment industries. Consistent attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and reliability are essential components of student success and future employment.
